Setting Up Telegram Integration
Setting Up Telegram Integration
Telegram is the primary messaging channel for your OpenClaw assistant. This guide covers how the integration works and how to make the most of it.
How It Works
Your AI assistant runs as a Telegram bot. When someone sends a message to your bot, the assistant processes it, generates a response based on your business context, and replies automatically. All conversations are logged in your CRM so you have a complete record of every interaction.
Sharing Your Bot
To start receiving messages, share your Telegram bot link with customers. You can find your bot's username in the setup confirmation we sent you. The link format is https://t.me/YourBotUsername. You can place this link on your website, social media profiles, business cards, or anywhere else potential customers might find it.
Monitoring Conversations
You can monitor your bot's conversations in real time through Telegram itself. If you need to take over a conversation, you can do so directly. The assistant will step back and let you handle it. When you are done, the assistant will resume handling new messages.
Tips for Best Results
Keep your bot's greeting message clear and welcoming. First impressions matter, and a good greeting sets the tone for the entire conversation. If you want to change your bot's greeting or any other response, submit a support ticket and we will update the configuration for you.
Make sure your Telegram notifications are enabled so you do not miss any flagged conversations that need your attention. The assistant is designed to handle routine inquiries independently, but some situations genuinely need a human response.
