Common Issues and Fixes

Here are solutions to the most frequently encountered issues with OpenClaw setups.

Bot Not Responding

If your Telegram bot stops responding to messages, check the following:

  • Make sure you are messaging the correct bot username
  • Try sending a simple greeting like "hello" to rule out message formatting issues
  • Wait a few minutes and try again, as there may be a brief service interruption

If the bot still does not respond after 15 minutes, submit a support ticket with the approximate time the issue started.

Incorrect or Unexpected Responses

If your assistant is giving responses that do not match your business:

  • Note the exact message that triggered the incorrect response
  • Submit a support ticket with the conversation details
  • We will review the assistant's configuration and update its knowledge base

The assistant learns from the context we configured during setup. If your services, pricing, or processes have changed, let us know so we can update the configuration.

CRM Not Showing New Leads

If conversations are happening but leads are not appearing in your CRM:

  • Check that the conversation included qualifying information like a name or contact detail
  • The CRM only creates lead profiles when the assistant identifies a genuine inquiry
  • Casual or spam messages are filtered out automatically

If legitimate leads are missing, reach out to support with the conversation timestamps and we will investigate.
